Editor and AI chat

Make focused changes without losing track of the document you are building.

Ask for a change

The chat beside your draft knows the active saved document and the conversation for the selected version. Ask for a rewrite, clarification, new angle, or a specific passage. Responses appear in the conversation, and you can copy useful text into the editor.

Targeted answers and full drafts

For ordinary editing questions, the AI is asked to return only the answer or replacement passage. Choose a full-document regeneration when you want it to return the entire updated draft. Full drafts generally use more of your page allowance than short answers.

Retry an answer

If the latest response in the current version misses the mark, use its retry action to request another answer to the same question. The earlier answer is not fed back as context for the retry. A new AI response still counts toward your page usage.

Save meaningful checkpoints

Save the draft when it represents a decision you want to keep. Saved checkpoints are available in the version history and can be compared with another draft. Chat replies do not have to become saved document versions unless you choose to use them.
